AC’s Future Billionaires Club Hosts Second Annual “Innovate U!” Business Expo
The Future Billionaires Club at Amarillo College is hosting its second annual business expo, Innovate U!, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 8 at the Oeschger Family Mall on the AC Washington Street campus.
Designed to spotlight entrepreneurship across campus, Innovate U! gives Amarillo College students and employees the chance to showcase their businesses or business ideas, connect with fellow entrepreneurs, and build valuable professional relationships.
New this year, participants can sell their products and services directly from their tables, creating a more interactive and rewarding experience for both vendors and attendees. In addition, food trucks will be on site, providing a variety of options for attendees to enjoy.
“This event continues to grow as a platform for innovation and collaboration at Amarillo College,” said Rashmi Pillai, AC program coordinator and assistant professor of business technology. “We’re especially excited to expand opportunities this year by allowing participants to engage directly with customers and generate sales.”
Entrepreneurs from a wide range of industries are represented, including home and garden, health and wellness, food and beverage, marketing and advertising, real estate, IT services, online businesses, and more.
“In business, you don’t just throw out a plan—you revise it and keep improving. That’s the same mindset we use in science,” said Christian Flores, a biology major and member of the Future Billionaires Club helping organize the event. “Making that connection has really helped me grow and apply what I’m learning in a real-world way.”
Tables are set up for each business to display products, distribute marketing materials, sell services, and engage with attendees.
