AC Kids’ College Offers Summer Camps That Make Learning Fun for All Ages
Amarillo College’s Kids’ College is bringing a full lineup of engaging summer camps designed to spark curiosity and creativity through hands-on learning. With programs offered in Amarillo, Dumas and Hereford, students in grades K–12 can explore science, technology, engineering and math in ways that are both educational and fun.
From classes in art; beauty and style; computers; games; math; music; science; babysitting; acting/theatre, cheerleading, cooking, gymnastics, reading, and sports & recreation students can learn a new summer skill or enhance their school-year learning.
“Our summer camps offer hands-on opportunities for campers to express their creativity, develop new physical skills, explore the natural world, and build lasting friendships,” said Whitney Fernandez, AC’s director of Enrichment and Wellness. “These camps are designed to help your kids and grandkids grow and have fun all summer long by pursuing whatever sparks their interest.”
In addition to STEM-focused programs such as Scratch, a visual programming language, science camps featuring hands-on experiments, and classes exploring the natural world, Kids’ College also offers a wide variety of enrichment opportunities. Campers can express their creativity through painting, ceramics, cartoon drawing, and word art, or explore their interests through dance and imaginative play.
Camps begin as early as June 1, with sessions running throughout the summer. Programs are designed to engage a wide range of interests and skill levels, ensuring every child can find something exciting to explore.
