Amarillo College Students Recognized as WT Community College Scholars
Four Amarillo College students were recognized last week as recipients of the West Texas A&M University Community College Scholars award during a special presentation led by Dr. Jamelle Conner, president of Amarillo College.
Students honored with the recognition include:
- Coline Moon, who earned an associate degree in science, biology;
- Natalie Santana, who earned an associate degree in science, environmental science;
- Kennedy Juarez, who will finish her associate degree in arts, English in December; and
- Erica Valdez, who earned her associate degree in applied science, dental hygiene.
During the presentation, Dr. Conner awarded each student an honor cord and an official certificate recognizing their achievement. Students were invited to wear their cords during last Friday's graduation ceremonies.
The WT Community College Scholars award is part of a partnership between West Texas A&M University and community colleges across the Texas Panhandle. The program highlights outstanding area students for their academic accomplishments and leadership potential.
