Panhandle PBS Invites Families to Free Be My Neighbor Day Celebration on June 11
Panhandle PBS is inviting local families to a free afternoon of community fun on the station's lawn. The station will host its annual "Be My Neighbor Day!" event from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, June 11.
The free event will take place at the Panhandle PBS studios, located at 2408 S. Jackson St.
Inspired by the hit PBS KIDS animated series Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood and the PBS classic Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood "Be My Neighbor Day" is designed to bring families together to celebrate community spirit and the core values of kindness, friendship, and being a caring neighbor.
Attendees can look forward to a "GRR-IFIC" day filled with engaging family activities and a Daniel the Tiger appearance. Kids will also have the opportunity to meet local emergency responders and see their vehicles up close. The booth activities are completely free and open to the public, offering a perfect summer outing for parents, caregivers, and children alike.
