AC Health Sciences Fair to Connect Students with Healthcare Employers, Universities

Amarillo College students exploring careers in healthcare will have an opportunity to meet directly with healthcare employers and university representatives during AC’s Health Sciences Career and Transfer Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, at the College’s new West Campus Simulation Center.

Hosted by AC Career Services in partnership with Blue Blazers and Transfer Services, the free event is designed to connect students with employers who are seeking healthcare professionals as well as universities that can help them continue their education.

Students will be able to network with healthcare employers, learn about potential career opportunities and discuss transfer options with university representatives. The event also will include tours of AC’s new simulation center, where students can see the type of hands-on learning environment that prepares them for healthcare careers.

“Healthcare employers are looking for skilled professionals, and our students have an opportunity to start building those connections now,” said Chris Prock, coordinator of AC’s Career and Employment Services. “We want students to see the many career possibilities available to them and give employers an opportunity to meet the talented students who are preparing to enter the healthcare workforce.”

The event is open to AC students who are currently pursuing healthcare programs as well as students who are considering a career in healthcare. Free snacks will be available.

The Health Sciences Career and Transfer Fair is part of AC Career Services’ efforts to help students connect their education with career opportunities and make informed decisions about their futures.
