Before the sun sets on Amarillo College’s 2023-24 Art Force Piano Series, concertgoers will be transported on a harmonious Journey to the East.
The fourth and final installment of the Piano Series features the accomplished husband-wife duo of Dr. Alex Lee (violin/viola) and Dr. Sophie Hung (piano), both of whom serve on the faculty at Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU).
The Amarillo College Music Department is pleased to announce its schedule for the 2023-24 Art Force Piano Series, a lineup of compelling musical events to be alternately performed by accomplished guest artists and AC faculty members.
The Piano Series, sponsored by Art Force Amarillo, will feature four hourlong concerts over a seven-month span, and all are free and open to the public.
Renowned pianist John Bayless, a product of Borger, Texas, who has performed in preeminent auditoriums worldwide, will put his incomparable talents on display in April at Amarillo College (AC) for a concert that is free and open to the public.
The concert is at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 11 in the Concert Hall Theater on the Washington Street Campus. It will be the fourth and final installment of AC’s 2022-2023 Art Force Piano Series.
The spirit of Valentine’s Day will echo with a resounding endorsement from some of the area’s most accomplished musicians when the 2022-2023 Art Force Piano Series resumes at Amarillo College.
The third installment of the Piano Series is titled “Jam with Love,” and it will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7 by a cavalcade of AC faculty and other special musical guests from the College’s family of musicians.
