AC to Host ‘Losing Your Religion (or Not)?’ as Part of Chautauqua Series

Amarillo College invites the community to its next Chautauqua: Conversations About Be-ing Human event, “Losing Your Religion (or Not)?,” from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 19 in the Oak Room in the College Union Building on Amarillo College's Washington Street Campus. This thought-provoking discussion will explore the evolving role of faith in a rapidly changing world—how people are questioning, reshaping, or reaffirming their beliefs in the face of modern culture, community, and technology.

AC will Host 400 High School Students for a Creative Arts Conference

A collaborative tradition of faculty- and artist-led workshops aimed at inspiring the next generation of creatives returns Friday, March 28 to Amarillo College, where 400 high school students will gather for the IGNITE High School Creative Arts Conference.For the fifth time Amarillo College and the Texas Panhandle Art Education Association (TPAEA) will co-present IGNITE, from 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m. on AC’s Washington Street Campus.

Amarillo College and the Texas Panhandle Art Education Association proudly present IGNITE: High School Creative Arts Conference, which will draw more than 400 talented high school students to AC’s Washington Street Campus on Friday, April 21.

The event kicks off at 9 a.m. in Ordway Hall with a welcome and panel discussion led by writer and journalist Jason Boyett of Brick & Elm and Hey Amarillo, and featuring four successful creatives who will discuss “Creating Careers.”
