AC Theatre to Present ‘Rabbit Hole’ Oct. 8-11

Amarillo College Theatre will present Rabbit Hole, a Pulitzer Prize-winning play by David Lindsay-Abaire that explores grief, healing and the resilience of the human spirit.

Rabbit Hole, set for Oct. 8-11, follows Becca and Howie Corbett, a suburban couple whose lives are changed forever by the accidental death of their young son, Danny. Eight months later, the couple struggles to cope with their loss while finding different ways to remember their son and move forward.

“Rabbit Hole offers an honest look at grief without relying on melodrama or cliché,” said Carissa Wilson, director of Rabbit Hole and AC instructor of theatre arts. “It allows us to see the quiet, awkward and even humorous moments that can exist alongside profound loss. At its heart, this is a story about two people trying to find their way back to each other and discovering that healing does not mean forgetting.”

Performances will be held Oct. 8-10 at 7:30 p.m. and Oct. 11 at 3 p.m. in the AC Experimental Theatre, Washington Street Campus.
