AC’s Innovation Outpost to Offer IT Courses and Exams 

Amarillo College’s Innovation Outpost will offer entry-level and expert-level IT certification courses and exams beginning Feb. 3. 

“These programs are designed to help individuals earn CompTIA certifications quickly and affordably,” said Linda Muñoz, dean of Innovation Outpost operations and programming. “They are perfect for anyone eager to gain the skills and credentials needed to succeed in the fast-growing tech industry.”  

The less than 20-day sprint courses are listed as a preferred or a required qualification for roles such as help desk technician, IT support specialist, and technical support analyst. Course content will include hardware troubleshooting, software installation, operating systems, mobile devices, and basic networking. The courses will include CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network, and CompTIA Security+.

The four-day exam reviews include effective test-taking strategies, test-prep support, and affordable access. The exams will cover Rapid Review for CompTIA A+, Rapid Review for CompTIA Network+, and Rapid Review for CompTIA Security+.

All of the courses and reviews include a testing voucher. Students and instructors will meet at the Innovation Outpost at 1220 S. Polk Street in Amarillo.
