Study of the general principles, operation and application of pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, fuel, environmental, protection and warning systems. Emphasis on types of aircraft structures and their control systems.

Student Performance

List and describe industry standards and practices for installation of avionics systems onboard aircraft; identify common avionics installation and repair hand tools; identify standard installation and mounting hardware; list and describe the technical documentation required to design, fabricate, assemble, install and maintain avionics equipment; apply electrical wiring fabrication principles, conventions, and techniques to attach common connectors to coaxial cables; demonstrate use of common hand tools and soldering equipment to remove  and replace electrical wires and contacts from connectors and terminals;demonstrate use of variety of test equipment to locate faults in wiring harnesses.

Attendance

Missing two full Lab periods in this course will cause the deduction of ONE FULL LETTER GRADE. The amount of Lab attendance points are awarded per Lab assignment and per instructor.
