ARTS 1311 Design I

Expected Student Behavior

The student is responsible to drop any unfinished classes BY THE "LAST DAY TO DROP" DATE. The faculty will not be able to drop students after the drop date. Students desiring to switch to non credit or audit status, must apply for Change of Status to Audit or Non-credit before the 12th class day/census day. Any student behavior that detracts from or disrupts class conditions, including (but not limited to) using another persons work, falure to submit tests and projects in a timely manner or communicating with students or faculty inappropriately, will result in a grade reduction, suspension or dismissal. See student publication "Student Rights and Responsibilities" for details. Amarillo College does not keep copies of student submissions, unless for use as examples, so remember to keep copies of your work.

Grading Criteria

Student`s grades will be assigned based upon the instructor`s evaluation of Aesthetic Qualities (Including correct understanding and creative application of the covered concept) and Craftsmanship (Including neatness, apparent effort and attention to detail in the production of the project.) Test scores will count as one-third of final grade.

Makeup Tests or Project submissions will only be allowed under extreme conditions.

Attendance

Since this is an online course, attendance will be measured by the level of participation in class projects.
