\ Grading Criteria: It is the student’s responsibility to complete all assigned tasks by the specified due date. Individual assignments are evaluated by the instructor. Students are expected to complete all requirements with no less than 75% accuracy. Incomplete assignments, analyses, participation attendance concerns will be reported to specific department chairs, division chairs, and Associate Vice President of Instruction.

\ Academic Honesty: All matters of academic dishonesty including plagiarism, collusion, fabrication, cheating etc. will result in a failing grade for the assignment in question. All violations will be forwarded to the proper college authorities for review. Any form of disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.

\ Cell Phone/ Personal Computer Policy: In order to not interrupt the class session, students are asked to turn off all cell phones and pagers prior to the beginning of class. Personal computers are to be used strictly for notes and accessing course material.  Improper use of cell phones and personal computers during class time includes checking personal e-mail, personal web pages, and other class information will not be tolerated.

It is the responsibility of students to advise the instructor before class of special circumstances that may require communication from home..

Grading Criteria

\ ASSESSMENT REQUIREMENTS:

\ The grade you will receive will be determined by your completion of the assignments, Presentation and Final Exam (See attachments)

\

\ •Chapter assignments, analyses, Presentation and Final Exam will be averaged for the Final Grade.

\

\ Attendance and one in-class film analysis will be used as a Grade Replacement for the lowest two assignment grades. The Grade Replacement will not be used as a replacement grade for the Presentation or Final Exam grade.

\ It is the students responsibility to complete work by the assigned due date. Students who do not complete the assignments on time will receive a point reduction depending on the length of time for completion as stated in individual assignments. The last date to submit assignments will be 11/22/2010

Attendance

ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENT:

            Regular attendance is necessary for satisfactory achievement.  Therefore, it is the responsibility of the student to attend class.  Students with frequent absences, as well as those who leave prior to dismissal, risk refusal of extra creidt.
