EVALUATIONS METHOD
DAILY QUIZZES:
EXAMPLE: A quiz is given and there are 20 questions on the quiz, the student may earn up to 20 points. If the student answered 10 questions out of 20 correctly, the student’s score will look like a fraction (10/20), which means the student scored 50% of the quiz correctly.
EXAMPLE: 5 quizzes have been given in class. The student has answered 35 questions correctly. The total possible points are 50. 35 earned points/ 50 possible points which will equal 70%. The student will divide 50 total points into 35 earned points. This would be a total quiz grade of 70% or “C”.
TAKE-HOME QUIZZES
You must be in class to receive the quiz and you must be in class to grade the quiz in order for the grade to count.
The student must attend the entire class in order to have the quiz grade count.
In other words the student cannot drop by class, pick up the quiz and leave.
If you receive a take-home quiz this quiz should be brought to next class period to be graded. If you are not in class to grade your quiz, you will receive a grade of zero (0).
You may not turn take-home quizzes in early or late.
IF A DAILY QUIZ OR TAKE-HOME QUIZ IS MISSED, THERE WILL BE NO MAKEUP QUIZZES FOR ANY REASON(S)
If a student arrives late to class while a quiz is in progress, the student will NOT be given extra time to complete the quiz.
If a student arrives late to class after a quiz has been given, the student will not be allowed to take the quiz.
