Overview of nursing and the role of the professional nurse as a provider of care, coordinator of care and member of a profession. Topics include knowledge, judgment, skills and professional values with a legal/ethical framework. This course lends itself to a blocked approach.

\ The student will identify concepts for the provision of nursing care; describe the roles of the nurse in the delivery of comprehensive care; describe the use of a systematic problem-solving process; and utilize critical thinking skills.
\\ In the role of provider of care the student will:

\ Nursing test success is the hybrid part of RNSG 1209 located on AC Online, and is a key component to the success of the student. Assignments are correlated to each module of RNSG 1209, providing strategies and practice for successful testing.
