Topics address recently identified current events, skills, knowledge and/or attitudes and behaviors pertinent to the technology or occupation and relevant to the professional development of the student.

On Campus Course
There are no textbook requirements for this course. All materials will be presented in class.
Students will require computer and internet access to research and complete assigned topic. Final research assignments must be in Microsoft Word, PDF, or .rtf format.
In order to receive your AC Connect Email, you must log in through AC Connect at https://acconnect.actx.edu .
If you are an active staff or faculty member according to Human Resources, use "Exchange". All other students, use "AC Connect (Google) Email".
Cell phones should be silenced during class meetings and presentations.
Food and drink may be allowed in non-computer lecture class, but may not be allowed in computer labs.
Students will receive a letter grade according to the following criteria:
Topic Assignment 5%
Research Assignment 90%
Research Presentation 5%
A=90-100; B=80-89; C=70-79; D=60-69; F=Below 60.
Attendance in class is regarded as a requirement and obligation for learning. Students are expected to attend at scheduled class times.
Please remember that the last date to drop class is November 16, 2011. If you fail to officially drop a course by this deadline, you will receive an "F" for the course.
It is the responsibility of the student to gain any materials missed during regularly scheduled class caused by their absence.
