Amarillo College offers services to assist you with addressing these and other concerns you may be experiencing. If you or someone you know are suffering from any of the aforementioned conditions, you can learn more about the broad range of confidential mental health services available on campus by calling the AC Counseling Center at 806-371-5900. There is a final (the 4th exam) required of all students.
There is no extra credit work available for this class, however, your 12 quick quiz average can take the place of your lowest test grade. Quick Quizzes are available online. All Quick Quizzes will be available from January 17, 2012 until May 2, 2012. It is up to you to take the quizzes. You will have one try only per quiz and one continuous hour to take each quiz. You cannot start a quiz, log out and start the quiz again. Please do not ask me reopen quizzes after the due date or ask to retake a quiz.
*The last day to withdraw or drop a class/change from credit to audit is April 19, 2012.
Please feel free to discuss any concerns you may have with your progress in this course with the instructor.
\ ATTENDANCE POLICY:
\\
In order to reinforce the idea of attendance as a positive factor in the learning process, it is the policy of this course to offer the following incentive for regular class attendance:
\
\
If the student has a zero-one absence throughout the semester AND the student has taken all exams on the regularly scheduled dates, the student may drop the lowest grade on one of the
\
first three major exams (excluding the final exam).
\
\
Class attendance is very important and I hope that you will make the choice to be in class on a regular basis. There is no doubt that students who attend class do better than those who do not.
