Review, correct, improve and/or perfect touch keyboarding techniques for the purpose of increasing speed and improving accuracy.

    Student Performance

    \ The student will demonstrate significant increase in keyboarding speed and accuracy at 40 words per minute (wpm) with minimum proficiency.

    \ The student will be able to complete satisfactorily all of the listed Performance Learning Objectives with a competency level based on the completion of required examinations administered under the supervision of the instructor and evaluated according to the instructors grading scale.

    Expected Student Behavior

    Grading Criteria

    Your final course grade is based upon your improvement.

    To determine final course grade, after establishing control/speed rate, produce at least two 5-minute timed writings meeting your speed and accuracy goal. 

    A = Improvement of 8 words per minute with 0-5 errors
    B = Improvement of 4 words per minute with 0-5 errors
    C = No increase; minimum 25 words per minute with 0-5 errors

    Attendance

    \ Regular attendance is necessary for satisfactory achievement.  Therefore, it is the responsibility of the student to attend class.
