TIMED WRITINGS: Your two best 3-minute timed writings within the specified speed and error range will be averaged to determine your final Timed Writing grade (30 percent of final grade) for the semester based on the following scale:

C = 15-19 wpm with 0-3 errors

This class meets one time a week for six weeks. You are expected to be at each class on time and ready to work. Attendance is 20% of your semester grade. You must attend each class. Points will be deducted for each absence.

CLASS PROCEDURE: Complete required drills designated by the instructor. This course is designed to teach you to strike the keys for alphabetic letters and numbers by touch (without looking at your fingers or the machine) on any keyboard. In this course, you will learn basic functions of computers.
