Prerequisites

Course Description

Decision making and problem solving processes in organizations, utilizing logical and creative problem solving techniques. Application of theory is provided by experiential activities such as small group discussions, case studies and the use of other managerial decision aids.

You will need three booklets from the AC bookstore.  The booklets will be ordered after the first class meeting.

Last year the cost was $6.00 for each booklet.

The booklets will be available in time for the first project requiring a booklet.

Attendance

\ ATTENDANCE POLICY:  Students are expected to attend all regularly scheduled class meetings.  Should you miss a class, it is your responsibility to determine what you have missed and take appropriate actions.  Please obtain the names and phone numbers of at least two of your fellow classmates and contact them about anything you have missed. Students who have perfect attandance and at least an 80 average will not be required to take the final exam.

Additional Information

WITHDRAWAL POLICY:  It is the responsibility of the student to initiate drop or withdrawal procedures through the registrar’s office.  Students who stop attending class but do not officially drop or withdraw from this course will receive a letter grade at the end of the semester. 

April 19th is the last date to withdraw or to change from credit to audit.

 

EXAMINATIONSExaminations will consist of essay, true-false, multiple choice, matching or short answer questions. Final Examination will be comprehensive. Final grade will be determined by dividing total number of points by the number of tests and projects. Instructor reserves the right to subjectively influence the final grade relative to class attendance, participation and attitude.
