Topics address recently identified current events, skills, knowledge and/or attitudes and behaviors pertinent to the technology or occupation and relevant to the professional development of the student. This course was designed to be repeated multiple times to improve student proficiency.

\ In order to provide an atmosphere conducive to learning, telepone calls and texting will not be

\ permitted during class.   Please make sure your phone is on silent or vibrate.  If you receive a call

\ or text that must be answered, please leave the classroom to reply.  Texting during class will not

\ be allowed.

Grading Criteria

\ Course Requirements: 
\ Two (2) Projects 20% each (40% total)

\ Take home exam: 20%

\

\ Homework / Assignments: 20%

\

\ Final Examination: 20%

\ Final Examination:
\ The final exam will be presented on the last scheduled day of class. The final will be worth 20% of the total grade for the semester.

\

\  This is a hybrid/self-study class that will require students to prepare and complete assignments as directed by the instructor.

\
\ It will require that students attend two classes during the semester to present oral presentations.
\
\ Make Up Policy:
\ Scheduled presentations cannot be made up without prior (prior to exam) approval, at 80% credit.
\ Homework will only be accepted late with prior approval, at 70% credit.

Calendar

This class may be used to substitute for other OSHT classes within the SET Program. Individual assignments are given based on the specific needs of the individual student and which class that student needs to complete.
