\ 1. Identify letters of the alphabet and their sounds. 2. Build a simple English vocabulary. 3. Identify and use simple prepositions. 4. Talk about family, home, and work. 5. Talk about travel. 6. Ask and answer questions about possessions. 7. Ask and answer questions about likes and dislikes. 8. Ask and answer questions about yourself and others. 9. Ask and answer questions about who, what, and where.

Expected Student Behavior

Grading Criteria

\ A = 90-100 Excellent; B = 80-89 Good; C = 70-79 Fair; D = Below 70; Failing, must repeat. One hour of lab time per week is required. If a student does not finish the material nee

\ Make up tests will not be given. If you miss one test, the grades you have will be averaged with no penalty. If you miss more than one test, you will receive a 0 for the test missed.

Attendance

Attendance is essential to success in the class; therefore, limit absences to no more than 2 per summer class. Additional absences can affect your final grade in the class. If you stop attending class and do not formally withdraw, you will receive an F.
