\\ Cell Phone/ Personal Computer Policy: In order to not interrupt the class session, students are asked to turn off all cell phones and pagers prior to the beginning of class. Personal computers are to be used strictly for notes and accessing course material. It is the responsibility of students to advise the instructor before class of special circumstances that may require communication from home.
\ 1. Seven Tests - Lowest Grade Dropped (60%) Students will test online, having from the date of the scheduled test until 11:55 p. m. of the next day.
\\ 2. A 300-word essay on an artist or work of art of your choice. The work should reflect principles of artistic technique and interpretation studied in class. Beginning in Week 13, students will present one paragraph or PowerPoint summaries of their work to the class. This presentation is worth 10 points of the essay grade. The paper must be double-spaced, 12 or 14 point font, properly-paragraphed, grammatically correct and free of the personal prounoun. Papers that do not follow the collegiate form will not be accepted! (20%)

\ Regular attendance is necessary for satisfactory achievement. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the student to attend class. Students with frequent absences, as well as those who leave prior to dismissal, not only risk refusal of any extra credit, but inevitably realize lower academic performance because of missed material.
