Course Description

Covers 3D rendering software basics including viewing, walk-throughs, lofting, shaping, materials, lighting/ shading and related topics.

Student Performance

1. Basic 3D modeling and characteristics.
\ 2. Lofting and shaping.
\ 3. Lighting and shadows.
\ 4. Cameras.
\ 5. Rendering quality.
\ 6. Animation.

Students will be able to produce rendered drawings and animations. Students will have the understanding of shading and lighting techniques used for 3D renderings and animations. Students will be able to create materials and objects used for animations and renderings.

Grading Criteria

The final grade will be computed as follows: Average of performance tests 50%, Average of written examinations 30%, Final Exam 20% = 100%

A late penalty will be assesed for late assignments of 5 points per day for each late day. Assignments will not be accepted more than 10 days late.
