Prerequisites

Course Description

This course covers contemporary fitness concepts as they pertain to the individual student; scientific information concerning values and the preventive medical benefits of exercise; experiments to determine individual (personal) health fitness levels; and the development of a personal exercise program based on the student’s needs. Carter Fitness Center membership is included with this class.

Attendance

\ Students must attend class regularly, participate in fitness activities and complete the weekly exercise logs.  Attendance is 30% of your grade.

\ PURPOSE & GOALS OF COURSE:

  15. \ describe stages in the addictive process and characteristics of drug dependency;

\ STUDENT ID CARDS:

\

\ Students MUST use their AC College IDs to gain entry into Carter Fitness Center. Students are allowed three entries without IDs, after three no-card entries, you will not be allowed into the gym/class until a new card has been purchased.

\

\ MAKEUP POLICY:

\

\ Arrangements for makeup classes must be made with the instructor. Makeup Fitness Tests must be taken at the AC Testing Center before announced date. Videos are to be viewed at the Carter Fitness Center.
