    Learning Outcomes:  Create three-dimensional representations of architectural structures; drawings; use various rendering techniques to establish shading and texture; produce presentation architectural renderings.

    Log in using the AC Connect Portal

    If you are an active staff or faculty member according to Human Resources, use "Exchange". All other students, use "AC Connect (Google) Email".

    Expected Student Behavior

    Students are expected to follow the guidelines as defined in the AC Students' Rights and Responsibilities which can be found on the AC Website.  Cell phones are to remain off during class, and students may be asked to leave class if they are being disruptive and thus interferring with the learning environment.  Students are also expected to dress appropriately as defined by instructor for events and field trips.

    Grading Criteria

      A=90-100; B=80-89; C=70-79; D=60-69; F=Below 60 

    Any work missed must be complete within one week of the original deadline or by special arrangements with  instructor.  Otherwise, student will be assigned a zero for the missed work. 

    Attendance

    For each absence after the first three absences, two (2) points will be deducted form the FINAL grade.  Three tardies are equivalent to one absence.  It is the student's responsibility to inform me of a late arrival and to get notes and assignments from another students.  To pass the class, the student must be in attendance.  Every class session builds on the knowledge gained from the previous class.

    Week 1:         Lecture:  Orientation and Review

                         Assignment:  Bring your Technical Drawing Final Project to the next class

    Week 2:         Lecture:  Elevations and Isometrics

                         Assignment:  Using your floor plan draw 3 elevations: a kitchen wall, a bath wall, and front view

    Week 3:         Assignment:  Using your floor plan, complete 1 isometric drawing

                         Lecture:  Using illustration techniques to render Elevations

                         Assignment: Using pencil techniques, render elevations; Isometric drawing

                         Read Chapter 6 of Natale text

    Week 4:        Work on renderings

    Week 5:        Renderings due

                        Lecture:  Delineation - One-Point

                        Assignment:  Complete 1-pt delineated drawing

                        Read Chapter 7 of Natale Text

    Week 6:        Delineation - Two-point

                        Assignment:  Complete 2-point delineated drawing

                        Read Chapters 1, 2 & 3  of Doyle Text

    Week 7:       Lecture:  Illustration Techniques
