    \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \
    \

\ EVALUATION SCALE FOR EACH PRODUCTION

    \
    \

    \ A=0 Errors (mailable)

    \
    \

    \ A=All completed

    \
    \

    \ B=1 error

    \
    \

    \ B=one document not completed

    \
    \

    \ C=2 errors

    \
    \

    \ C=two documents not completed

    \
    \

    \ D=3 errors

    \
    \

    \ D=three documents not completed

    \
    \

    \ F=4 or more errors

    \
    \

    \ F=no documents completed

    \
    \

\ In this class, the goal is to be able to produce a mailable document or product in ten minutes or less.

    \

\ The Production Tests count 50% of your grade.  30% of the 50% is based on the quality or accuracy of the documents.  20% of the 50% is based on how many documents were completed.

    \

\ Please print two copies of all tests.  Your instructor will grade one copy, and the Office Administration Advisory Committee will evaluate one copy of all tests since this is a capstone course.  In this class, you should work toward being able to produce a mailable document or product in ten minutes or less.

    \

\ GRADING SCALE FOR TIMED WRITINGS:  Minimum keyboarding speed at the end of the semester is 50 words per minute for five minutes with 0-5 errors on designated material.  You are not allowed to use the backspace key to correct errors on five-minute timed writings.

    \

\ In order to receive an “A” or a “B” in the course, you must have an “A” or a “B” average AND you must be able to key information at the rate of 50 words per minute for five minutes with 0-5 errors on designated copy.  If you DO NOT reach 50 words per minute, all of your grades will be averaged according to the scale listed below; however, you ARE NOT eligible to receive a grade higher than a “C” UNLESS you reach 50 WPM for five minutes with 0-5 errors on designated coy.  The 5-minute timed writing grade will count 15% of your final course grade.  If for any reason, you cannot key 50 wpm for five minutes with 0-5 errors, you cannot make more than a C for your final course grade.

    \

\ Your three best 5-minute timed writings meeting the speed and error requirements will be averaged to determine your final timed writing grade for the semester based on the following scale:

    \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \
    \

\ A=63 or more wpm with 0-5 errors

    \
    \

    \ B=58-62 wpm with 0-5 errors

    \
    \

    \ C=53-57 wpm with 0-5 errors

    \
    \

    \ D=50-52 wpm with 0-5 errors

    \
    \

    \ F=49 or below with  0-5 errors

    \
    \

    \ FINAL COURSE GRADE:

    \

    \              50% - Individual Production Documents
    \               20% - Projects (required)
    \               20% - Timed Writing Final Grade
    \               10% - Lab Assignments
    \             100% - Final Grade
