Additional Information

This course is an interactive class, where students will have the opportunity to share and experience developmentally appropriate, hands-on creative activities.  Students will demonstrate one art activity and one music or dramatic play activity with the class.

Multiple Intelligences Survey

For Week 1, students will complete an online Multiple Intelligences Survey at:

http://www.literacyworks.org/mi/assessment/findyourstrengths.html

After completing the survey and obtaining the results, students will discuss the results with the rest of the class.

Art Activity

This is an individual activity.  You will create a developmentally appropriate art activity for young children.  You will complete a lesson plan for the activity selected and then "teach" the activity to the class.  You will be required to bring enough materials for each person in the class to participate in the activity.   More instructions for this activity will be given during class.

Music or Dramatic Play Activity

This is an individual project.  In this project, you will develop an appropriate music or dramatic play activity and complete a lesson plan for that activity.  Then, you will "teach" the activity to the class.   You will be required to bring enough materials for each person in the class to participate in the activity.   More instructions for this activity will be given during class.

EXAMS

There will be three exams given during this course.  Each exam will be worth 100 points and may include multiple choice, T/F, short answer, matching, fill-in-the-blank.  All exams will be taken online and must be submitted on time.  If you miss an exam, please contact the instructor as soon as possible, so arrangements may be made.
