Homework: Expect to have homework every day in this course! At the end of the semester, I will drop your four lowest homework assignments.
Daily Homework: Daily homework assignments will consist of online assignments as well as written assignments. Online assignments will be submitted using MyMathLab and will be automatically graded on the website. Written assignments will be submitted in class. Details on how to register and enroll in MyMathLab will be given in class. Detailed instructions on format for written assignments is outlined in the syllabus. Assignment deadlines will be announced as material is covered.
I do not accept late homework, and I do not give extra credit!!!
Quizzes: Quizzes will be given at the discretion of the instructor and will count the same as homework grades. Expect to have quizzes at least once a week.
Exams: Exams must be taken in pencil and will be taken in the testing center. At the end of the semester, I will replace your ONE lowest exam grade with the final grade, provided the grade on the final is higher than an exam grade. If you miss an exam, it will count as your replacement exam and will not be made up. The final exam score may not be dropped. If you have two zero’s, the final will replace only one of these zero’s.
Final: Under NO circumstances will the final be given late (i.e. No Make Ups)!! The final will cover all material covered in-class including chapters 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, and 8. The comprehensive final will be given on the following date (as directed by the official Amarillo College Schedule): Tuesday, May 13th at 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM.
