Expected Student Behavior

\ CLASSROOM GROUND RULES:  Be on time and prepared for classroom discussion.  No food or drink in computer classrooms; no food in regular classrooms; no cell phones, no pagers except vibrating pagers, no walkmans. 

Grading Criteria

GRADING SCALE:

   90-100%          A - Excellent

   80-90%            B - Above Average

   70-80%            C - Average, Good

   60-70%            D - Poor

   Below 60%      F - Failing

EXAMINATIONSExaminations will consist of essay, true-false, multiple choice, matching or short answer questions. Final Examination will be comprehensive. Final grade will be determined by dividing total number of points by the number of tests and projects. Instructor reserves the right to subjectively influence the final grade relative to class attendance, participation and attitude. Should you have an emergency, contact me in ADVANCE before the scheduled test.  Tests taken more than a week from the original test date will result in docked or a zero grade.  There are no make-up exams

Attendance

Students are expected to attend all regularly scheduled class meetings.  (One day in the weekend class equates to 2 to 3 night classes) Should you miss a class, it is your responsibility to determine what you have missed and take appropriate actions.  Please obtain the names and phone numbers of at least two of your fellow classmates and contact them about anything you have missed.


WITHDRAWAL POLICY:  It is the responsibility of the student to initiate drop or withdrawal procedures through the registrar’s office.  Students who stop attending class but do not officially drop or withdraw from this course will receive a letter grade at the end of the semester.
