Course Description

Overview of the delivery of nursing care in a variety of community-based settings; application of systematic problem-solving processes and critical thinking skills, focusing on the examination of concepts and theories relevant to community-based nursing; and development of judgment, skill and professional values within a legal/ethical framework.

    Grading Criteria

      

    The following criteria and grading scale will be used to determine the course grade:

    1.   Module I, Module II and Module III/Final Exam are 75% of the course grade.

    2.   One EVOLVE exam worht 5% of the course grade. Community Health specialty examination will be administered during the semester. In the Testing Center.

    3.  Computer Simulation I & II are 15% of the course grade

    4.  Discussion board questions and quizzes are 5% of the course grade

    5.  The grading scale is:

         A   90-100

         B   80-89.9

         C   75-79.9

      

    6.  Any make-up exam must be taken within one week of the scheduled exam. 

    7. All exams are timed online and given in a generous time window.  

     

    Attendance
