\

\ 1. Interview your client:  This will require spending a period of time with your client identifying goals, needs, and establishing medical histories.

\

\ 2.  Assess your client:  Evaluate your client using appropriate assessment tools to accrue data on their current fitness levels.  You will use this assessment to establish a good exercise selection.

\

\ 3.  Analyze data:  Interpret the data outcome from the preselected tests that your client has completed

\

\ 4.  Program Design:  Ascertain the information from the interview and the assessment to establish the best possible exercise program.

\

\ 5.  Implement program:  Teach your client an appropriate exercise modality that will help them reach their personal fitness goals.

\

\ 6.  Reassess:  Reassess the client to determine if he/she is improving in a manner that was predicted or if modification to the program is needed.

\

\ 7.  Adjust the program:  Adjust the program as needed to continue improving the specified goals established under the first component.

\

\

\

\ Working with your volunteer client exposes you to a living subject with the same real life issues that you will encounter in a working environment.  Your skills will be enhanced by information gained from the 1271 course curriculum.
