\ In the context of discussions, I expect students to respect each other's opinions and to give each other space to disagree without becoming hostile or angry. I expect homework to be done on time.
Grading Schema A = 90-100 B = 80-89 C = 70-79 D = 60-69 F = 0-59 Your homework grades will depend on two things: correct answers, and the effort you put into writing the anwers. It is possible to give a correct answer in one sentence. However, the person who gets the most points for the question will be the one who not only gives the correct answer, but shows me that she/he has read the assignment, thought about it, and has something to say about it. That takes more than one sentence. Your homework and discussions will each make up 25% of your grade. The field project will make up another 25%, and the final exam will make up the other 25%.
\ Homework assignments and discussions have deadlines, so students must log into the class and post their work in order to get a grade for the week.
The Instructor reserves the right to change the syllabus and/or calendar if needed.
