Articles: 50 points (1 @ 50 points each)
Throughout the semester, students will research a current article.  The article should be current (2011 – 2014), and taken from professional journals, highly regarded magazines, or from respectable Internet WEB sites.  If you have any doubt about the source of your article, please check with the instructor.
The article needs to address a topic related to the guidance of young children.  Find specific topics of interest to you, and then search for information about those topics to share with the class.  A written summary of the article will be required for credit. Observe for 2 hours in a classroom or daycare serving children ages 3-10.  After we have finished Chapter 4, “How to Observe Children”.
