General Psychology is a survey of the major psychological topics, theories and approaches to the scientific study of behavior and mental processes.

Expected Student Behavior

\ Students are expected to follow all Amarillo College policies and procedures. Be both physically and mentally present during classtime--if you have oncall duties and must keep  your phone available, please keep it on vibrate mode and step outside to respond to any emergency calls. Please do not take non-emergency calls or texts.

Grading Criteria

90-100 = A

80-89 = B

70-79 = C

60-69 =D

Below 60 = F%

20% of final grade comes from participation in a discussion board related to each chapter. 80% of final grade is based on an average of the highest 4 test grades. Tests are available for a week online. Each student may take each test once; the test is timed for 1 minute per question (30 questions).

Attendance

\ Attendance is required and expected. It is the student 's responsibility to attend class for satisfactory achievement. Please be on time for class as we have much to cover, and late arrival is disruptive to a class session already in progress.
