Student Performance

Instructional content in the Medical Assisting Clinical Procedures course will focus on clinical procedures utilized within the medical offices.  Major components will include emergency medical care, the physical exam, basic pharmacology, and administration of medication.  Students will focus upon employability strategies and career development necessary for successful employment.  Due to health care industry standards, exemplary attendance is mandatory.  All content standards and objectives must be mastered before students are eligible to attain established credentials and/or industry validation.  Students will utilize problem-solving techniques and participate in hands-on activities to develop an understanding of course concepts.

Grading Criteria

There will be no rounding in this class

No grades will be dropped

Grade of 90 to 100  is "A"

Grade of 80 to 89.9 is "B"

Grade of 70 to 79.9 is "C"

Grade of 69.9 and below is "F"

Attendance

Attendance will account for 10% of the final grade.

With every class day worth 100 points each, 20 points will be deducted for lack of puncutality up to the first 25 minutes, at 26 minutes there will be no points given for that day.
