Virtual office hours are available for all students in online and hybrid classes. These are very flexible and I am available whenever you need me as I know your class, work, and family obligations vary. You can email me 24/7. If we need to visit over the phone, via Google Meet, or in person we can schedule a mutually convenient time. I will provide a Google Meet link in your class in Blackboard to meet virtually.

Current students are expected to email me through your course messages in Blackboard. Make sure you are in your course and click the envelope next to my name on the right side menu of your course. IF Blackboard is down, you can email me directly.

If you email me directly, always provide your first and last name, class and section number if currently enrolled or student id if not currently enrolled. Unless Blackboard is down, currently enrolled students are expected to email me from the course.

\\ Academic dishonesty will not be tolerated. Any plagiarism or "group efforts" on quizzes and/or exams may result in a failing grade for the assignment or the course.
\ Students will be graded on the four periodic exams covering all 16 chapters of the text in addition to quizzes and discussion board responses.

\ The instructor reserves the right to subjectively influence the final grade relative to class participation and effort.
Attendance Policy: Regular attendance is necessary for satisfactory achievement. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the student to attend class by logging in on a regular basis.
You must meet all course deadlines including discussion board posts, quizzes, and exams as posted in the course on Blackboard. NO EXCEPTIONS.
The quizzes will open on Monday of the first week of each unit. The quizzes will close on the day of the exam for that unit.
Exams will be open from Thursday through Sunday on the week it is scheduled.It is important that you note deadline dates.
Discussion Boards are due WEEKLY. Initial posts are due on Thursdays and replies are due on Sundays. You MUST meet the deadlines each week.
Please make note of all course deadlines listed on the course calendar in the syllabus and in the course on Blackboard.
It is YOUR responsibility to meet ALL course deadlines. This class is very doable, but you have to manage your time wisely. These deadlines are firm and are non-negotiable. Make whatever arrangements you need to with work, family, activities, and vacations to make sure you meet ALL deadlines. Make sure you are using Firefox or Chrome as your browser. It is YOUR responsibility to make sure the computer you use to complete course requirements, quizzes, and exams will allow you to complete the requirements as posted. I will not accept "my computer crashed" or "I forgot" as reasons you do not meet deadlines.

It is the responsibility of the student to initiate drop or withdrawal procedures through the registrar's office. Students who stop attending class but do not officially drop or withdraw from this course will receive a letter grade at the end of the semester.
Withdrawal (drop) deadline - Tuesday, November 18
How to get started:
Once you are enrolled in the course, you will have access on the first day of the semester. Go to the Amarillo College website at www.actx.edu and click on the "AC Connect" link on the left of the page. Once the AC Connect login screen appears, enter your Username and Password. Click the Log On button. Once logged in, all of your current semester classes will appear on the middle of the screen. Click on BMGT 1301 - Supervision. Once you are in the course, click on the "Lessons" tab at the left of the page to begin the course.
