Syllabus Information
Textbooks
\
Introductory Physics Laboratory Manual, Pearson Custom Publishing, available at the Amarillo College Bookstore.
Supplies
laboratory book (AC Bookstore), pencils, pens, scientific calculator
Student Performance
\
This lab accompanies the introduction to physics course for non-science majors. Experiments completed in this course will reinforce topics learned in Physics 1305 including motion, forces, energy, momentum, mechanical waves, and sound. Conceptual knowledge of physics, laboratory skills, and analysis of data will be emphasized.
\
\
\
\
Students will conduct basics physics experiments using standard scientific methods, analyze experimental data, and construct scientific conclusions. Students will state the laws of physics governing each experiment and how they relate to the outcome of the experiment using language understandable by fellow students and explain how errors in collected data occur and can be minimized.
