Prerequisites

Course Description

Introduction to the principles of drafting to include terminology and fundamentals, including size and shape descriptions, projection methods, geometric construction, sections, auxiliary views and reproduction processes.

Student Performance

\ Student will learn the basics of hand drafting and design

\

\ Student will learn basic Residential Design skills

\

\ Student will complete floor plan and elevations using conventional drafting techniques with drafting board and t-square

\ Students in this class will produce a floor plan and elevation for a residential design.

\

\ Students will use basic drafting skills without the use of CAD or software to complete the plan and elevations

Exams will be made up only the same week as scheduled for exam

Student must have an excused absence before exams can be made up

Attendance

\ Students are requried to be in class and lecture.

\ Each unexcused absence will constitute 2 points decuted from final grade

\ 3 tardies will equal on absence
