If you are an active staff or faculty member according to Human Resources, use "Exchange". All other students, use "AC Connect (Google) Email".

Expected Student Behavior

\ Students are expected to practice appropriate classroom etiquette. Excessive talking and rudeness will not be tolerated. See "Students' Rights and Responsibilities".  Appropriate dress is require in my class at all times. No offensive or threating clothing will be tollerated. Men will not be allowed to wear hats or caps in the class room or on any field trip.  Professional dress is REQUIRED on any presentation day and during all field trips; ie, no cleavage or exposing waistline or of the buttocks. Student will not be allowed to participate in my class if dress does not meet these guidelines.The use of cell phones, pagers etc is not allowed in class. This includes sending and/or receiving text messages.

Grading Criteria

A=90-100; B=80-89; C=70-79; D=60-69 F=BELOW 60

A - Superior College level work - reserved for projects that are on time, complete, accurate, professionally presented, adhere to the highest degree of design standards while satisfying all written and oral requirements in addition to exceeding minimum requirements in several categories.

B - Above Average College Level Work - given to projects that are on time, meet the qualifications stated above but with minor errors in completeness, accuracy and/or presentation standards.

C - Average College Level Work given to projects that are on time, satisfy the criteria above but with major errors in completeness, accuracy, presentation standards and meeting only minimum project requirements.

D - Below Average College Level Work given to projects that may be on time, but fall below acceptable standards in the above categories.

F - Unacceptable College Level Work given for project falling far below department standards, late or substantially lacking in fulfillment of the above requirements.

 

All assignments are to be turned in, neat and in presentation form, with a grade sheet attached. Written assignments are to be typed, doubled spaced or hand written legibly.

All 2D assignments will need to have hard copies of all the power point slides, 2 to a page accepted and turned in within the class folder.

All 3D assignments will include a concept statement with the project handed in within a folder.

Late work will be excepted up to one (1) week of original date due with a 20 point deduction. After 1 week student will receive a "0" for the assignment. I do not repeat lectures. It is the students' responsibility to find out about missed lectures and assignments.

Attendance/class participation - 25%

Assignments/2D projects and presentation - 25%

3D projects and presentation - 25%

Tests - 25%

If for any reason you fall behind or can not attend class, please contact me. It is in your best interest to always keep me informed if you have a problem completing your work, or if you are unable to be in class.

Attendance

\ Attendance is mandatory in my class. You cannot learn the class material if you are not in class. There is a grade given each class period, which includes attendance and participation.  An automatic "0" is given if you are not in class. After 3 unexcused absences a "0" will be given for the semester. Class starts on the designated hour. Be in class, ready to start class on time, otherwise you will be marked tardy and after 3 unexcused tardies, you will receive a "0" for your daily grade.

\ It is in your best interest to always check your AC email before coming to class. Any changes in class, class time or location will be sent via email.
