Course Description

A health-related work-based learning experience that enables the student to apply specialized occupational theory, skills and concepts. Direct supervision is provided by the clinical professional.

  • Cell phones and audible pagers are not permitted in the clinical areas. Telephones on the clinical unit are not to be used by students for personal calls.  All outside EMERGENCY calls are to be channeled through the instructor.

  • Each student will adhere to the Student Handbook Policies and Procedures, The Amarillo College VN Honor Code Policy, Social Networking Policy, and all agency policies including HIPPA. Any violation of these policies and procedures may result in failure of the course and possible dismissal from the program.
