Course Objectives: Discuss building materials and construction techniques; describe building systems; interpret technical drawings of building systems; identify local, state, and federal codes and regulations; and identify the necessary work sequence and project scheduling in construction.

Students are expected to follow the guidelines as defined in the AC Students Rights & Responsibilities which can be found on the AC Website. Cell phones are to remain off during class, and students may be asked to cleave class if they are being disruptive and thus inteferring with the learning enviroment. Students are also expected to dress appropriately as defined by instructor for events and field trips.

Any work missed must be completed within one week of original dealine or by special arrangements with instructor. Otherwise, student will be assigned a zero for the missed work.
\It is the student's responsibility to get classnotes and assignments from fellow classmates.
Regular attendance is necessary for satisfactory achievement. Therefore, it is the responsiblity of the student to attend class in accordance with the requirements of the course as established by the instructor. Attendance and/or participation requirements in courses delivered electronically (telecourses and on-line courses) will be unique to the individual course.
\Following three absences, two points per absence will be deducted from the final semester average up to 10 points. Stuidents who leave class early may be counted as absent. Two tardies constitute an absence. roll will be taken within the first ten minutes of class. Students are responsible for informing instructor of tardiness. This policy applies to classroom activities as well as field trips.
There will be written exams following each completed unit.
\ \There will be no written comprehensive final exam. The student will, however, complete a project(s) as assigned by instructor.
