End-of-Course Outcomes: As outlined in the learning plan, apply the theory, concepts, and skills involving specialized materials, tools, equipment, procedures, regulations, laws, and interactions within and among political, economic, environmental, social, and legal systems associated with the occupation and the business/industry and will demonstrate legal and ethical behavior, safety practices, interpersonal and teamwork skills, and appropriate written and verbal communication skills using the terminology of the occupation and the business/industry.

Specific Course Outcomes: Student will perform tasks given by employer, including customer service and graphic design work.

Expected Student Behavior

Student should be respectful, prompt and perform all tasks assigned by employer within reason.

Grading Criteria

Student will be graded based upon an evaluation by the employer. Instructor will review employer evaluation, meet with student to discuss any issues, and grade the student based on the following scale:

A: Performed all tasks according to expectations, employer is fully satisfied

B: Room for improvement according to employer and instructor meeting

\ \

C: Significant improvement needed as employee and practicioner in appropriate field.

F: Student was let go by employer because of failure to perform, or failed to perform according to industry standards.

Grading Schema:

A: 90 or above
\ B: 80-89
\ C: 70-79
\ D: 60-69
\ F: 59 or below

Attendance

Student is required to be prompt, and be present every day as agreed between student and employer. Late arrival or no-shows, as reported, by employer, may result in deduction of overall class grade.

Calendar

Weeks 1 - 15: Employment\ Week 16: Evaluation and Meeting with student.
