Learning outcomes: Integrate the pathophysiological assessment findings to formulate a field impression; implement the treatment plan for the trauma patient; and integrate multiple determinants of trauma conditions into clinical care.
At the completion of this course, the student will have demonstrated sufficient mastery of the course objectives, listed at the beginning of each text chapter, to effectively assess and manage patients involved in trauma emergencies. It is desired that course goals be accomplished to the extent that the student’s final grade is not less than a grade of “C” as evaluated by the program faculty. A final grade less than “C” will result in failure of the course.
This is in response to the Texas Administrative Code, Title 25, Part 1, Chapter 157, Subchapter C, Rule §157.32 which states, "Certification as an EMT-Basic shall be required prior to beginning field and clinical rotations in an EMT-I course". Note: The Amarillo College refund dates will likely have passed. As such, NO REFUND WILL BE POSSIBLE.
