GEOG-1302-001 Human Geography

Prerequisites

Prerequisite: RDNG 0331-minimum grade of C or a score on a state-approved test indicating college-level reading skills

Course Description

This course introduces students to fundamental concepts, skills and practices of human geography. Place, space and scale serve as a framework for understanding patterns of human experience. Topics for discussion may include globalization, population and migration, culture, diffusion, political and economic systems, language, religion, gender and ethnicity.

Students are expected to do their own work and be courteous in communication with both the Professor and with other students.

Grading Criteria

Attendance

Students must email the professor at brfarmer@actx.edu by the twelfth class day and inform him that they are indeed attending the class or they will be marked as never attended and will be administratively withdrawn. Other than that, the students must take the tests online on the appointed days.
