The purpose of this course is to acquaint you with interpersonal communication theory and research.� Upon completion of this course you should have developed an understanding of the nature of communication during face-to-face encounters.� You should also understand yourself, and how the exchange process influences the outcome of your own interpersonal relationships.� This course will introduce you to methods of competent interpersonal communication that will be valuable to you at work, at home, and at play.
