DFTG-1333-001 Mechanical Drafting

Prerequisites

Prerequisites: DFTG 1305 or department chair consent

Course Description

An intermediate course covering working detail drawings with proper dimensioning and tolerances. Also included are the use of sectioning techniques, common fasteners, isometrics and obliques in the preparation of assembly drawings, including bill of materials.

Grading Criteria

In determining your grade on each drawing assignment, the following areas will be judged: 1) Accuracy. 2) Neatness. 3) Layout. 4) Following directions. 5) Creativity. 6) Professionalism. 7) Overall

A late penalty will be assesed for late assignments of 5 points per day for each late day. Assignments will not be accepted more than 10 days late.

Daily work 50%  Final Project /exam  50%

A=89.5 to 100

B=79.5 to 89.4

C=69.5 to 79.4

D=59.5 to 69.4

Attendance

\ A maximum of one absence will be excused. all other absences will be penalized by 5 points off of your final grade. *NOTE: all students in CAD program will be required to participate in the presentation day scheduled at the end of the quarter.
