This is not available in the bookstore as it is published in the online course and available for students to print/download.

Grading Criteria

GRADING CRITERIA/GRADE SCALE:

The following criteria and grading scale will be used to determine the clinical grade.  Grades are NOT rounded in accordance with the Nursing Department Grading policy:  Ex 69.9 = 69.9 D; 89.9 = 89.9 B etc

1.    Clinical Performance Score – 100%

A = 90-100, B = 80-89, C = 75-79, D = 60-74, F = below 60.  Remember, grades are NO LONGER rounded.

                     You must have a cumulative score of 75% or higher to pass the course.                

       2.    In order to meet clinical competencies, all clinical absences must be made up in the clinical area.

 

Attendance

 Students must complete 100% of all required clinical hours.  Total Clinical Hours: 96

Additional Information

*All documentation for CPR and immunizations should be updated and complete by the first class day if they are expired.  Please bring documentation forms/CPR cards on first class day.

*Clinical days will be in week 4 &5 either days or evenings.  Assignment to clinical group will take place after the first classroom day.

 *The Clinical Experience will also include Clinical Simulation times which will be announced by instructor and placed on the Course Calendar. Clinical Simulation is required as part of the completion of the course.
