Expectations and Requirements for this course
Every online class is different; it makes sense to outline my policies and expectations so that each student is well informed as they begin the class as to what will be required of them.
Weekly Routine
At the beginning of each week, the student should first log in to AC Connect. In the Mathematics for Business and Social Sciences course, navigate to the "Content" link on the left side menu and locate the module for the week. You will have two weeks to complete each module. Each module will contain a “Module Checklist.” This checklist is not to be submitted for a grade, but is provided for your own benefit to make sure you complete all the activities and assignments for the week. Open the “Module Checklist” and either print it off or write down the checklist. This is your guide to get you through the module. The first item on each module checklist will be to read the actual Module document. Open the Module and read through it entirely. At the end of the module document, you will find the “Learning Activities” that you will need to complete for that module. These learning activities are of course listed on the module checklist, but the directions and problems are found in the module. After reading the module document, you will now need to complete all necessary activities, assignments, and assessments. Each module will have a My Math Lab learning activity. I suggest completing the My Math Lab activity first as My Math Lab supplies many “helps” to help you solve problems. Next, complete any blackboard assignments. Last, complete the assessment (if necessary) for the module.
TEAMWORK
This class requires that we work together as a TEAM. Each of you can be successful in this course if we both put forth our best efforts and work together.
As your instructor, I pledge to:
As a student, I expect you to:
