Administrative Drop Policy

Students who do not attend class on or prior to the census date will be administratively dropped. Effective Fall, 2016

Student Withdrawal Procedures

Students who wish to withdraw from a class must:

• consult with their instructor to obtain a signed academic withdrawal request form to submit to the AskAC department for processing
• consult with the financial aid office if receiving financial aid
• consult with the Veterans Benefit Coordinator if receiving veteran benefits
• consult with their academic advisor to determine how withdrawing may affect their enrollment in future semesters
  • NOTE:  The Texas Education Code stipulates that students attending Texas institutions of higher education for the first time fall 2007 and later may not withdraw from more than six courses during their academic career, including courses from which transfer students have withdrawn at other Texas institutions of higher education. (Senate Bill 1231) Rule 4.10.

INMT-1305-001 Introduction to Industrial Maintenance

Prerequisites

Prerequisite: ETWR 1302 and MCHN 1343 - minimum grade of C

Course Description

Basic mechanical skills and repair techniques common to most fields of industrial maintenance. Topics include application of precision measuring instruments and general safety rules common in industry, including lock-out/tag-out. Practice of basic layout and piece part measurement while using standard measuring tools is also emphasized.

Grading Criteria

Additional Information:

Late assignments will be scored accordingly and will not exceed 60% of the designated grade.  Project work (hands on) may be made up during regular lab times but will be scored accordingly and will not exceed 60% of the designated grade.  There is no make-up of class exercises or lectures.

Attendance

Professional industrial workers understand the importance of being on time and having the required tools, books and materials needed to successfully complete the job.  Professionals understand the need to follow rules and regulations established by the employer, government regulatory agencies and insurance companies. You will be graded accordingly.
