Textbooks

Weather Studies Student ePackage
Weather Studies: Introduction to Atmospheric Science, 6th ed. (e-text)

Weather Studies Investigations Manual 2016-2017 & Summer 2017 (e-text)

E-package can be purchased through the AC bookstore or by download at the following website:  http://edubooks.ametsoc.org/subject/weather-studies (American Meteorological Society)

If you purchase the etext from the AC bookstore, you will receive a card with an access code. You will then go to the website that is provided in the package or to the link supplied above. Once there, you will select the Weather Studies Student ePackage. At this point you can select two different methods of using your ebooks. You can select to use both the etextbook and the eInvestigations manual as a web book or you can download them to your computer. The advantage of using the web version is that you can access the book from any computer using your browser. If you choose to download the ebooks, you must install an e-pub reader on your computer to read the books on your computer. At the above website, the AMS has a link for a free Adobe e-pub reader that you can download. It greatly simplifies the download process if you first install the e-pub reader and then download the e-books.

Once you have made your selection of either the web book or the epub, you will then add them to your cart. After you have them in your cart, you will then put in the code that you purchased from the AC bookstore in the coupon code box. You will also be prompted to create an account with the AMS. This will be the username and password that you will use to access the web version of the book or in the case of needing to download the epub again. Make sure that the username and password are ones that you will remember.

Whether you use the web version or the downloaded epub, you must have the Weather Studies Textbook and the 2016-2017 Investigations Manual in order to successfully complete this course.
